Rules

Preparation

  • You play the basic Carcassonne game, excluding expansions such as "The River."
  • Prepare the tiles as usual, shuffling them and placing them face down ready to be drawn.
  • Place the Mini Game Map dedicated to Lucca 30th Anniversary on the table.

This Mini Game has two different game modes:

Variant.png Mode 1: Timed Construction (60 Seconds)

  1. Start the timer at 60 seconds.
  2. The player proceeds to draw and place tiles on the map in the allotted time, following classic Carcassonne placement rules.
  3. Each correctly placed tile earns the player 1 point.
  4. At the end of the time, he or she calculates the points earned.

Variant.png Mode 2: Quick Construction (90 Seconds)

  1. Start the timer at 90 seconds.
  2. The player draws tiles and tries to place them on the map in the allotted time, if he finds it inconvenient and impossible to place them he proceeds to discard them.
  3. Each tile discarded within the 90-second time limit subtracts 1 point from the player's score.
  4. The goal of the game is to stay as close to zero as possible as a score.
